Hello everyone, Escape Plan for PS Vita was just released on to the PSN Store for $14.99 this past week. Seeing as there was no previews of the games game-play in the PSN shop or many other video online. I decided everyone should have a chance to see how this new & funny puzzle game works on the PS Vita system.

PlayStation Vita Accessories

 

The PlayStation Vita launched in the US Yesterday for early adopters of the PS Vita First Edition Bundle, like me. With new hardware tech releases come more graphics, games, speed, CPU power & overall enjoyment for the customer base. But with all new tech there always maybe bugs & in this case there was for PS Vita system that I picked up early today.

So fist a little background info, this system was used for about 4 to 6 hours before encountering a problem were the system would not fully power off or wake up form sleep mode. At 1^st I was going to get upset about this, after I tried holding all the different buttons for 5 to 10 seconds, try charging the system more, I went as far trying to sync it with my ps3, to see if it would kick it on.. But after about 15mins with no luck I went to plan B of doing my research, unfortunately it was not as easy as Googling “PS Vita is not turning off” which was understandable as this system in the US only been out for a few hours so far.  The US PlayStation website support was not too helpful at 1st as well. At this point I was considering about returning the system for a new model the next day but me being me, I like to solve the problem myself If I can.

My next step was to think about the place where the PS vita has been available for the past 2 months “Japan”. Next I went to Japanese PlayStation Vita support website & with little know how and Google translate I was able to find a detailed article that Sony posted up on the Subject of “PS Vita Power will not turn on”. Using this info & knowledge I have after years of repairing PS3 and PSP I was able to turn off & on my PS Vita to get to the factory restore menu to restart the unit. Once I had the info the process was not all too hard at all & not worthy of returning the system to a retailer for a new unit or to get a refund in my eyes. So I hope these steps below & the video posted here can help you if you run in to a similar problem down the road. Thanks for reading.

.Step 1: Locate the [power] button on the top left of the PS Vita.

Step 2: Without pressing to hard, hold down the [power button] for 20 seconds or till you see your system turn off then on.

Step 3: if you are now at the factory reset menu tap option [1] to restart your PS Vita system, this will take a  few moments.

Step 4: if you are presented with your PS Vita home screen then you have completed all the necessary and your unit is back up and running.
